Each fire pit has an interior wire mesh wrap which mitigates natural shifting from the movement of the ground. Concrete is temperature sensitive and high heat will cause cracking. Your concrete fire pit will crack from the heat, but we’ve encased it with wire mesh, and it will not separate. We recommend lining the inside of your concrete fire pit with brick. This will create a heat barrier from the fire to the concrete, relieving the concrete of the heat.
